A wreath has triple spiritual significance dedication, sacrifice or death (change). The shape, often circular, will be important as thus signifying continuity and completeness, as well as everlasting life. A wreath in dreams can have the same significance as any of the binding symbols, such as a bridle. It forms a bond that cannot be broken, or an acknowledgement that must be accepted. A wreath in a dream can suggest honour and celebration. Dreaming of being given a wreath suggests being singled out, perhaps for some honour. It formerly warned of the potential for one's own death, which is why wreaths are still part of funeral rites. Dreaming of giving someone else a wreath not a funerary one validates our relationship with that person. Consult the entries for Bridle, Flowers and Laurel/Bay Leaves for further information.
