In spiritual terms by volunteering for something we are promising to make a commitment apparently an anomaly, since we are promising to make a promise. To volunteer, however, requires dedication (setting aside) of what resources we have. Volunteering in dreams shows that we have made an emotional commitment to whatever is represented. In everyday life there are certain projects and tasks that require more effort than others. Dreaming of volunteering suggests that we are aware of the extra effort required. We have decided to take part before we have consciously registered that fact.
