If an object is rare it is rendered so by its scarcity, so spiritually suggests ancient knowledge and practices, which we have not yet uncovered. If something is rare it is precious and thus not seen often. This can be translated in dreams into emotions that we do not often allow to surface. In dreams, as in waking life, if meat is rare it is only partially cooked and thus represents ideas that are not yet fully formed or concepts that have been put forward without having been finalized. This does not mean that they are any less valid and this would be the same if we dreamt of any other rare article or object.
