Plants in a spiritual sense signify both the life force and the cycle of life. Because they die only to grow again, they also suggest death and rebirth. If the plants are growing wild, there is a part of us that needs freedom. If they are grown in regimented rows we are aware of too much concern for the views of other people. Many plants have both healing and magical qualities. Equally, without proper knowledge, plants can be harmful. Because of the process of growth and decay that plants go through naturally, they become a symbol for progressive change. If the plants are cultivated, then we should be aware of our ability to cultivate potential. If the plants are dying we may have reached a stage where there is no more advantage within a situation.
