To nag almost always has a negative connotation, but when a spiritual idea or feeling keeps coming back and nagging at us we would be very wise to pay attention. In dreams, if we are being nagged or scolded we will have recognized that we are not heeding our own inner truth. From a mundane viewpoint, if we are nagging someone else in dreams we may actually be trying to justify our own actions. There may be a play on words here in that a nag is also an old horse, often one that does not deviate from a particular routine. In old-fashioned parlance a nag was a scold or cantankerous old woman. If in waking life we are used to negative reinforcement, nagging may have this relevance in both men's and women's dreams.
