A group - usually of people - is a number of different individuals often from different backgrounds with a common aim. Spiritually it is usually this aim that will bind them together. Gangs will develop signs and language peculiar to themselves and will tend to anarchic or criminal behaviour. In dreams, therefore, a group will largely be peaceable and a gang noisier. Emotionally in dreams a group will tend to be supportive while a gang will be confrontational. Either can appear if we have problems in fitting in socially, and how we deal with them will provide information useful to us in everyday life. At some point in our lives, social skills become important to us. Groups and gangs in dreams show us how good we are at handling ourselves and others. If we are members of either then we have passed some kind of personal test; in the case of gangs we may feel we have passed through some kind of initiation ceremony. If we are rejected in dreams we ourselves may not yet be ready to belong.
