The Caduceus, or double-headed snake entwined round a central staff, is an ancient spiritual symbol which signifies that there is power in uniting the opposite polarities of the spiritual and the physical realms. Once we reconcile these opposing sides, this creates healing, rebirth and renewal, universally represented as two snakes. This is a symbolic representation of the basic form of DNA, the 'building blocks' of life. The body recognizes and communicates in dream images its need and expectation of good health. To dream of the Caduceus can mean that we need to create better conditions for achieving this. This symbol often appears as we learn of our own ability to heal others. The Caduceus is the sign that is used by doctors and medical establishments as the sign of healing. Initially it was the staff carried by the Greek god Hermes. Wellbeing, our own or other peoples, needs consideration.
