In spiritual terms, being blindfolded is often seen as a rite of passage. It is a transition between two states. It also signifies some kind of initiation. When we cut ourselves off from visual contact with the external world we are turning inwards in order to know and understand ourselves better. Such an image in dreams suggests that we need to become introverted for a time, perhaps so that we do not try to affect the situation around us. If we have been blindfolded in a dream, it shows a deliberate attempt is being made to deceive us. If we are blindfolding someone else, we are not being honest in our dealings with other people. This may be through ignorance on our part.
