The axe represents power, thunder, conquest of error and sacrifice. As a symbol it is seen in most religions usually representing divine, supernatural power. From a psychological perspective, an axe, particularly a double-headed one, represents feminine supremacy and intuitive power, often in the role of the huntress. When we dream of an axe we need to differentiate between whether it is being used against us or if we are using it. If it is used against us we feel we are being threatened by someones greater power.
